The
bicentennial tourist trail is a project designed by two non-profit
institutions, the Valparaiso
Foundation and the Euro
Chile Foundation, with
a matching grant from the Chilean Business Development Corporation
(COFRO)
and strategic coordination from the Chilean Tourist Bureau
(SERNATUR)
and Valparaiso City Hall. The
plan includes the gradual implementation of a 30 kilometer
(18 mile) trail, including 15 thematic stages. Each stage
will take approximately 90 minutes to 3 hours to walk.
